COVID-19 Update From Sunrise Cleaning Service

As the whirlwind of COVID-19 news and updates continues, I want to confirm with all Sunrise Cleaning clients that we are your partners in keeping your home and workplace clean and productive. We have been working non-stop to make sure everyone in the Sunrise family is as informed as possible on the coronavirus outbreak.

To address the shelter in place order our business is described as an “Essential need” based on this definition from the City of Santa Cruz Economic Development Office: “Plumbers, electricians, exterminators, and other service providers who provide services that are necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation and essential operation of residences and businesses.”  This is true for many of our clients who are not physically able to provide the level of cleaning and sanitation they need without our services.

Here are a few key steps we’re taking to meet customer needs while keeping our clients and employees safe:

  • We are following the Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations provided by the CDC if confirmed/suspected COVID-19 cases are present.
  • We are stocking the Sunrise Cleaning office with critical cleaning and safety items, such as gloves, *microfiber towels/mops, effective and environmentally friendly surface-specific disinfectants where deemed appropriate.
  • During cleaning services, we are utilizing effective therapeutic grade essential oil based cleaners while giving additional attention to hot spots people touch most often, such as doorknobs, keyboards, elevator buttons, light switches, etc.
  • We primarily use Young Living Thieves household cleaning solution please see link for more product information.
  • Utilizing Thieves cleaning solution, which contains therapeutic grade essential oils from clove, lemon, cinnamon, rosemary and eucalyptus. According to a recent NIH scientific study, these plant based oils are particularly effective antimicrobials.
  • We have made specific recommendations to help employees in preventive measures, including washing hands thoroughly when entering AND exiting a home or facility.
  • Continuously sharing tips to help customers keep their homes and workplaces clean between their professional cleanings provided by Sunrise team members.
How You Can Help
  • In an effort to provide uninterrupted service for all our clients, we are proactively rescheduling customer appointments in the event that they/or their cleaner are suspected to be ill. If you need or want to reschedule, cancel or temporarily suspend your regular cleaning service please give us as much notice as possible. Please make your decisions regarding social distancing / self-quarantine as soon as possible so that our scheduling may go smoothly. We appreciate your assistance.
